South Dakota State InspectionS Program
To ensure businesses are meeting State and Federal requirements, the South Dakota State Inspections Program provides field inspection services for a variety of state agencies and departments:
State inspectors conduct a variety of inspections throughout the day and can take from 15 minutes to three hours, depending on the type and complexity. Inspectors conduct inspections including:
- Food and school lunches
- Lodging
- Lottery
- School fire and life safety
- Farm and ranch safety
- Daycares
- Meters and scales
- Fuel pumps and bulk liquid petroleum (LP)
