incident management Task Books

Position Task Books (PTBs) are designed to be used by any individual interested in becoming certified under the National Incident Management System (NIMS).  The PTBs are intended to be used to document experiences that indicate successful completion of tasks specific to an Incident Command System (ICS) position.  The performance requirements for each position are associated with core ICS competencies, behaviors and tasks as suggested to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) by a multi-disciplined, highly experienced expert panel.  

This set of NQS Position Task Books (PTBs) identifies the competencies, behaviors, and tasks that personnel should demonstrate to become qualified for a defined incident management and support position.
