NOTICE TO COMMERCIAL DRIVER LICENSE
(CDL) HOLDERS 

FMCSA grants a waiver through June 30, 2020 from certain regulations
applicable to interstate and intrastate commercial driver’s license (CDL)
and commercial learner’s permit (CLP) holders and
to other interstate drivers operating commercial motor vehicles (CMVs).

Applying for a License

A new license or ID card must be applied for in person at a Driver Licensing location. To skip the wait at the Aberdeen, Sioux Falls, Rapid City or Watertown Driver Licensing locations, schedule an appointment.

To prepare, make sure you have the required documents and a completed license application form.
