Purchase a Crash Report

Our Office provides crash records and reports upon request for individuals, insurance agents, law enforcement and others in compliance with Marsy’s Law.  Find and purchase a crash report now.

Marsy’s Law

Pursuant to South Dakota Attorney General Official Opinion No. 16-02, dated December 5, 2016, state and local government entities may release crash reports to the public without violating Article VI, §29 of the South Dakota Constitution.  After a crash report is submitted by the investigating law enforcement agency and accepted into the South Dakota Accident Records Database, it becomes available for purchase.  However, if victims choose to exercise their rights under Marsy's Law after the submission of a crash report, the Office of Accident Records will promptly remove the report from all records.  Find more information on Victims’ Rights and Marsy’s Law.
