South Dakota Accident Records System
The South Dakota Accident Records System (SDARS) is a statewide repository for all motor vehicle crash data provided by law enforcement agencies across the state. SDARS uses geographic information systems (GIS) data to capture and analyze crash data that is then shared with various stakeholders at the state, federal, and local level to create safer roadways for South Dakota citizens and lead nationwide change through the Fatality Analysis Reporting System (FARS).
The SDARS system is operated and maintained by the State of South Dakota Office of Accident Records and is for authorized use only.
